M100 Wireless Vehicle Detection Success at the JCT symposium
Clearview Traffic were pleased to unveil their new M100 Wireless Vehicle Detection System animation at the recent JCT Traffic Signals Symposium. This is the premier UK event within the Traffic Signals industry gathers together professionals from around the country to discuss developments in the industry.
Graham Muspratt, Group Product Manager at Clearview Traffic provided a presentation at the conference regarding Smart Sustainable SCOOT, where he discussed the possibility of utilising the M100 Wireless Vehicle Detection System as an alternative to Loops at SCOOT Traffic Junctions. The magnetometer based system which has been developed with technology partner Sensys Networks Inc provides a number of benefits over the use of traditional inductive Loops including:
- Reduced installation costs no Loop cutting or ducting required.
- Reduced impact during installation to traffic and residents with daytime off peak installation.
- More cost effective than traditional inductive Loops.
The new short animation which introduces the M100 system, shows how it can provide benefits over use of the traditional inductive Loop. Graham commented; "we wanted to introduce the M100 system in an engaging way, and we have received great comments from the audience so far".
