As part of Sport Relief, on 16th April 2010 a team of cyclists from Clearview Traffic will ride from the company headquarters in Bicester to Addenbrookes hospital in Cambridge.
The ride of around 70 miles will be made on parts of the Sustrans UK cycle route and will end on a part of the Cambridge cycle path which is delineated by an installation of Astucia SolarLite road studs.
Astucia as a part of the Clearview Traffic Group, provides road studs which reduce night time accidents on roads by over 70%. The studs are also used on cycle paths to increase visibility whilst providing a sustainable solution, being powered by totally free solar energy. Installations of the studs can be found on cycle paths worldwide including in Sweden and Australia.
The team of cyclists, lead by Clearview Traffic engineer and keen cyclist, Steve Teal are hoping to complete the challenge in under a day, leaving the company Headquarters in Bicester at 9.30am and aiming to arrive in Cambridge by tea time!

Andrew Burton, Commercial Director commented “Our team of cyclists are ready to take on this great challenge, showing how Astucia SolarLite studs can be used to improve conditions for cyclists. We are also delighted to be involved in raising funds for the Sport Relief charity who do sterling work to transform the lives of poor and vulnerable people, both at home and across the world’s poorest countries.”
